difficult project to categorize..

a friend/coworker had a halloween wedding, with costumes encouraged, so this was the first year...really ever..that i put any effort into my costume. after narrowing down a shortlist, I was Tetra, a decently simple costume to put together. However it's a sleeveless costume and i was concerned (rightfully so, it turns out) about being cold.

so i bought a plain white zip up hoodie (zip up was important so i didn't screw up my hair) and i painted the top half of zelda's dress (wind waker design, to stay with continuity

) onto it using Liquitex acrylics. it's a little stiff, but it's warm and gives me that happy nerd love feeling.

this opened my mind to a whole list of characters i could do this with...

Ooh, way to take a theme and run with it!

Such a great idea/story, and so well executed! I love the details on the hood, that is just above and beyond.

thanks! i wish the hood was a liiiittle bit bigger..with it up the crown tends to lay on the top of my head rather than the forehead area, but overall it came out pretty well
